JUNE 08 NEWSLETTER

CREATIVE EXPRESSION

During the month of June we will be finishing up all of our art projects in Creative Expression. Look for these masterpieces in your child’s bin. We hope you enjoy displaying them at home as much as we have at school! I have really enjoyed watching all of the children grow as artists.

LANGUAGE ARTS

This month in Language Arts we will finish up our class books and make autograph books to capture school memories. We will also be working on a project inspired by the “Fill Your Buckets” book. During our last week we will have a game day where we will play a literary based game. Thank you for a great year. I am proud of all of the children and everything that they have accomplished.

GYM & MUSIC

I can hardly believe that the end of the year is here! I have had such a great time singing and playing games with the children. This month we will be learning new exercises and talking about how exercise can be fun, especially in the warm weather!

MATH & SCIENCE

This month in Math & Science we will be working on ooey gooey projects! (This is always a favorite). We will also be talking about summer safety. We will be learning about why we use sunscreen and how to stay safe around pools and lakes. Thank you for a great year. The children have all learned so much this year and had a great time while doing it.

Our last day of school will be Monday, June 16^th.

Report cards will be handed out on Friday June 13^th.

Please join your child for our END OF THE YEAR PICNIC on Tuesday, June 17^th.

Remember, this is not a normal school day, your child will need a chaperone.

On June 5^th & 6^th we will be sending home your child’s classroom portfolio. Look for them in your child’s cubby.

Please be sure to take home all of your child’s belongings by June 12^th & 13^th.
